Want a straighter smile?

Want an alternative to braces?

Seaman Family Dentistry offers clear aligner orthodontics to help you achieve the smile you are looking for without traditional braces. ClearCorrect is a brand of dental aligners which gradually move your teeth as you progress from one aligner to the next. These aligners look similar to custom at-home whitening trays or clear retainers, except each aligner is designed to make certain changes while you wear it. They must be worn in order, as each aligner makes slight movements to the teeth, so that the next aligner will fit and continue the changes.

Benefits of dental aligners to straighten your smile:

  • Aligners are clear, so they are virtually invisible when you wear them.
  • Aligners are removable, so you can take them out when you need to.
  • Using aligners for your orthodontic treatment requires fewer adjustment visits.

Important factors when considering whether ClearCorrect aligners are right for you:

  • Aligner treatment requires personal compliance. They must be worn the majority of the time, or they will not work or treatment time will be much longer.
  • Replacing lost or damaged aligners can be costly and slow down treatment.
  • Aligner treatment will not correct all orthodontic problems.

Based on the above, we typically only recommend ClearCorrect aligner treatment for adults or very mature teens looking for a straighter smile.

How much does ClearCorrect treatment cost?

+

First, there is approximately $320 in orthodontic records which will be taken for any type of orthodontic service, including aligners. Then, there are two different types of ClearCorrect cases, either an express case or a full case. The express case is for short term minor changes, often for patients who had orthodontic treatment as a teen and stopped wearing their retainers as adults and their teeth have shifted. Express cases are currently $2,500. Full Cases are currently $4,400. If needed, we have various financial options available to assist you.

How often do I need to come in for adjustments and what is done?

+

Typically, you will return every six to eight weeks. Dr. Robert Seaman will check your progress, make sure you are on track with your aligners and then make any adjustments* to your teeth for the next set of aligners. You will then be given your next set which will last you until your next visit.*Adjustments during aligner treatment can include placing composite material on certain spots of teeth (called buttons) to direct the pressure of the aligner, removal of previously placed buttons or reducing the surface of the teeth (between teeth) to allow enough room for teeth to move into place.
