At Seaman Family Dentistry in Lenexa, Kansas, we try to save teeth rather than extract (remove) them. In many cases, even teeth which are broken to the gumline can be saved with restorative treatments, such as root canals and crowns.
However, there are some cases when it is impossible or impractical to restore a tooth and an extraction is necessary. Dr. Robert Seaman is not an oral surgeon, so there are some situations when he will refer you to a specialist for the removal of a tooth. This is also the case with impacted wisdom teeth and most cases of wisdom teeth removal.
